Shackle Style

The Prodigy cottonsafe ropes are attached to the trapeze bar with high-grade stainless steel (SS316), Prodigy Hex-Lock D shackles.

These shackles are ideal for swapping out the ropes without having to buy a whole new trapeze! This also means the trapeze can be easily inspected.

Ropes and other components are inter-compatible and can be used in several different configurations. This modular feature of Prodigy Aerial equipment allows for greater flexibility when rigging.

The ability to thoroughly inspect every component and replace any part is a huge step forward in safety for a trapeze design. Trapeze boots on the elbows would need to be removed to take full advantage of this feature.

Cottonsafe Rope

Prodigy Aerial has designed this rigging solution specifically for the Aerial industry. The single-leg, like a traditional rope, gives you a clean presentation for use on a stage and the cotton cover is very comfortable to grip.

The CottonSafe ropes have no bounce, ensuring the trapeze remains horizontal and stable during practice and performance.

These Ropes have an industrial strength core with a cotton webbing cover that is strong, soft, and feels great!

The Prodigy CottonSafe Ropes are also a dream to inspect! They only require regular and straightforward, external inspections (assuming normal use).

Strong and Versatile

The shackles on this trapeze have a low profile 6mm bar, and the hex head pin locks into place very neatly in an indentation on the shackle bar. This means it locks securely and with no protruding pin to get in the way.

It is essential to use a medium-strength threadlock on the thread of the pin to eliminate any risk of vibrations loosening the pin. Your Trapeze will arrive with threadlock applied, but you must reapply whenever you open the shackle.

There is no compromise on safety with a WLL of 300KG (FOS 5:1) on these shackles.

The bar on these trapezes measures 62cm from end to end and weights 1051g.,

UK Made, Tested and Certified

Load tests are performed regularly on all equipment at independent certified testing facilities.

  • Working Load Limit (WLL) : 200kg
  • Factor Of Safety (FOS) : 5:1

Destructive testing is undertaken at regular intervals or when any component is modified.

Working load limits are based on permanent deflection, not destruction. Never exceed the manufacturer's WLL.
